These days it sometimes becomes necessary to use objects and other material in order to create a certain atmosphere, to convey an idea, to evoke a feeling. Somehow, and it is hard to explain why, oil paint is too delicate, too fragile, even too poetic a medium. So it becomes necessary to combine it with something more physical, more brutal. Perhaps we live in a more brutal world now? But even if that's not the case maybe there is a need to create multilayered, multifaceted images, aggressively exhibiting the rawness of something other, an interference, an intrusion?
